In many areas they are granting them amnesty in hopes of earning their backing in some way.

That's something I could never figure out - why the hell do you guys put them on your license plate where they can be peeled off by someone. Ours go on the inside of the windshield. Attempting to peel them off destroys them. And, it's not a matter of stealing just decals - you'd need the entire plate. (In NY, two plates.) If you don't turn in the plates, before long, your license is suspended. You're looking at *thousands* of dollars in fines. There are reasons why some states have estimated less than 5% of cars on the road without insurance while other states have 20% or more. And, don't the plates follow the car in Florida? i.e. In NY, when a vehicle is sold, it is NOT sold with the previous license plates. If you sell the car, you take the plates off. There's no way in the world that you're getting a big 3" square special colored inspection sticker for your windshield, or the even bigger registration sticker for your windshield color coded with great big numbers of the month it expires. People who let those things expire are a cash cow for the state; then again, that's why WE don't have those problems and you guys DO.

No, plates don't follow the car. Keep in mind that during the boom years FL had a lot of high paying construction jobs, kids that were making $8-9/hr at the pizza joint were making $18/hr as a carpenters helper, the construction industry went insane but had that much more of a hit when things went south and the more broke people got the more they ignored the law, crappy excuse I know but it's kinda what happened..

I wasn't referencing to Hispanics in any of my posts, the problem with uninsured around here cuts across all racial/ethnic bounds. BTW, I doubt anything fantasizes about you except yourself..

Fuck illegals.....there are tons of people who work very hard to come here legally and these ass wipes just walk across the border and act like they own the place. Seal the borders and shoot anyone that tries to get in illegally.

Sure, if you keep your government-subsidized corn that destroyed the corn farmers in Mexico, your US drug dollars that pay for the cratels and such out of Mexico.

Oh, and give back the Southwest United States you stole from Mexico and are now 'illegal' residents of. Build that fence on, say, Utah and shoot you if you cross it.

Oh, ya, that's different.

It's funny. Americans consider Lincoln one of the great presidents, yet he was the leader of the opposition to the war in Mexico. His successor Grant said the war that stole hald of Mexico was 'the most unjust war ever waged by a stronger nation against a weaker one'. The most famous case of American civil disobedience was in 'Walden Pond', which was not paying taxes to oppose the unjust war on Mexico. But all those views are forgotten as people get pissy about any suggestion anything was ever done wrong.

So, ya, nothing is going to be done about the history there, but the lack of humanity, the greed, the willful one-sided blind indignation as attitude, is pretty disgusting.

We should look at what we're doing that hurts Mexican prosperity as a starting point. It's one argument for drug de-criminalization.

The just solution is for Mexico to have enough prosperity to not drive their people to have to come to the US illegally, where we get a lot more benefit than cost from them.

We can also provide for more legal immigration, instead of taking their labor 'on the cheap' illegally. We enjoy cheap food because of their back-breaking labor for low wages.

It's actually more than 30% when dealing with just S. Florida. However, the topic is now moved to the prison yard so I am going to stop contributing.

I wasn't looking to call out someone local to me that is dangerous.

Thanks!

Edit: apparently the suspect was a citizen or at least legal. Most of my points on this have nothing to do with this one example, but the many that happen here. It's estimated that only 1 in 3 carry insurance on our roadways in S. Florida.

They blantantly break the law while already breaking the law thinking they are beyond the rules. There is a whole house of these types right down the street with every license plate already expired on the same month 2 years ago.

These same people blow through the stop signs in the neighborhood and approach 55-60mph driving down our 15mph roads. I was burying cats and racoons alot a few years ago but now I stepped up my food efforts and they mostly stick to the wooded area and school behind my property.

I was set up a couple years ago to hit a dude that is still driving to this day without a license or insurance. The courts have him listed as indigent even and he skips is $20 payment plan.

He tried to sue me for $1,000,000. Then $300,000...then my insurance company threw him a check for $10k and he was gone.

Isn't it painfully obvious? The illegals are moving to SF because of YOU. You are both epic and awesome at the same time!
