I like how walmart just closed their store when a union was formed. PWNED.
if Wal-Mart became unionized across the board say bye-bye to everyday low prices for consumers.

say what you will. that's just a fact.
yeah what they fsck is up with unionized grocery store workers in california? seriously, that guy sacking groceries is unionized! what the fsck! unions are supposed to be about organizing skilled workers to keep their jobs from being taken over by unskilled workers. what the fack is the point of organizing unskilled workers? completely ridiculous. if a trained monkey can do your job you shouldn't be in a union.

Unions feel that they need to organize every one. Provides more power to the union bosses. Then they can control company operations and destroy it.

Yet when they control/have influene within companies, they still generate problems. See United Air Lines

Houston Kroger workers are unionized. I know because I overheard a bagger complaining about how the union never did anything but take $55/paycheck. I couldn't help but laugh.

If an unskilled worker can take your job...how is it a job that requires a skilled worker?

I thought unions were about demanding fair compensation and protecting against abuse of power by management.

at the shop across the street from my work, the union rejected an agreement and when everyone came back the next day they were locked out and the company said they were shutting them down.

The one I was in worked that way.

When will the gov't realize that unions aren't needed anymore? There HAS TO BE strict strict strict regulations on unions.

Of course they are not needed anymore when you can practically out-source every job to India, China, and the Philippines. There is nothing that says we cannot build those same C-130's in Mexico, too, is there? I mean, if Dodge, VW, etc. can build in Mexico why not Lockheed?

You have no idea how crappy that is too. Thats one of the main reasons I hate unions. When I was in high school I worked at the local grocery store. Every paycheck i got JACKED for union dues. I say jacked because I didnt' have a choice. you HAVE to join the union. I tride telling the employer that I didnt want to join the stupid union, but he said i didnt have a choice.

I didnt need anything they were providing, but i still had to pay them my hard earned money. What a crock. I wish i lived in a state were unions were illegal.

Meh! I work in a K-12 school district. You don't even want to get me started on the scourge of this earth; teacher's unions!
I work higher-ed and we have a union of 286 people and they continuously claim that they are going to get us a raise... I don't know how 286 people hold any kind of weight and can represent the other 8400 employees who AREN'T members of the union. It's stupid. I wish they would just step off and let the system do what it's gonna do. I don't expect anything beyond my cost-of-living raises here anyhow...that's life.
