This is what Anandtech.com looks like on my new monitor.

I got an HP l2335 thanks to Anands recommendation.

Still on my desk. And I got a 2nd used one for my game system. Love it.

I can play 1600x1200 games and all the newer titles in standard HD. And any movie.

"2560x1080?"

Should it be 2560x1600?

I guess these are new super-wide monitors. I would still prefer some more rows of pixels. 1200 minimum.

I use a 42" sharp 1080p aquos. Love using a tv and would never go back to a monitor

I use a 27.5" 1920x1200 Hannspree TV. The panel was originally used in cheap Hanns-G monitors. Makes a good monitor on the cheap and it's way better than most TVs.

Tell me about it, searching for the perfect 27" or 29" 16:10 for around $600 ain't easy.

It is. Buy a Hannspree "28-inch" TV and you'll get a 1920x1200 16:10 monitor. It's a TN panel, but it's a great price for a huge monitor with a USABLE aspect ratio.

Bang for the buck is the Monoprice 27" IPS which is under $400, when it is in stock, that is. It only has 1 DVI video connection but that price is tempting.

Have you tried holding the Windows logo key and tapping the right arrow on your keyboard?

Hah. That's awesome. Still, Dell makes better containers for the panels than LG does. ^_^

Since both of my Dell U2709Ws drop their picture randomly and sometimes multiple times in a row, I really have to beg to differ about Dell's quality. Also consider that these monitors cost around $800 each. :colbert:
