this is the *worst* week to lose motivation

it's finals week for me, and i have a total of 3 finals and 3 projects due.

i got one final over with tonight and it wasn't all that bad. however, i have 1 project that needs to be started/finished and two others that have to be wrapped up, but i have absolutely 0 self motivation (despite having a great summer to look forward to). i'd just rather it all be over. make me do work, ATOT 😛
 
What kind of place has finals in june... lol
But yeah I know the feeling, probably all here do.
And no work for you anymore kay? got it? good.

Keep things in perspective. Once you leave school and get a job, every week is finals week, every single week. And, every grade on every test is an A or you're gone.

I know what you mean. I have 2 finals left, one on Wednesday, one on Friday, and I have no motivation to study for either of them.

I worked so hard for this [insert letter grade], there's no way I'm going to give it up on this final!
 
finals for me this week too. Ugh, equally demotivated too. Doing an all-nighter tonight, papers and a final tomorrow. And another final that needs to be turned in tomorrow morning, thankfully it's a multiple choice, true/false take-home. As long as I can find the answers in the book without too much difficulty, it won't take too much time away from the rest. And yes, I got it last week, and yes, haven't touched it since I got it. 😛

If you see me post, please proceed to tell me to get back to work. :laugh:

I know the feeling Fenix, same thing here. I forced myself into the library today but only made it 3 hours before I could no longer be bothered 🙂 The good news is that I don't think these exams are going to be too difficult. End of semester 1 over here, 2nd year computer science.
 
I was having this exact discussion with a friend earlier today. I have my last two finals of the term tomorrow and I can not seem to find any motivation at all to study for them. As much as I want a good grade in both classes I just want it to all be over and to start my summer job.
 
I think by definition, exams are outdated. In the modern day of google, wikipedia and even just a good quality text book, its not what you know, but knowing where to find it. Less emphasis should be placed on memory tests, and more on knowing how to retrieve and translate data.

Assignments/reports are still good because it means somone has to research a topic. I think assignments are way better as you can recieve feedback and make modifications. I learn way more researching assignments than craming for exams.
