Deep down inside, you know it's probably true too.

who cares?

Miami would have gotten swept by the Spurs, considering Wade was reported to take a month to recover after the detroit/miami series ended.

I actually thought the Pistons were an easier match-up for the Spurs, I think I'll eat those words with a knife and fork now.

that was pretty exciting near the end of the 4th...then SA took it away...

congrats to them!

Wish the game didnt end so late...should start at 8 not 9...they'd have more viewers...same with MNF

When Ben Wallace bricked those 2 free throws in the 3rd... the game just shifted. Just caught a rebroadcast here in France, ridiculous how they just got SO flat after that.

And a side note - omg i HATE french commentators, OMG TONY PARKER HAD A HAND IN THERE AWESOME!!!! He's good... but damn, also these guys could be commentating a dog show or a cooking show or whatever - no style.

People will say the pistons lost to a better team, but the truth is they came into the series with half-@ss energy and as a result they got blown out twice. That was a helluva hole they put themselves in. I was rooting for the spurs, but in hindsight, seeing how awesome they played in games 3-7, there was no exuse for not showing up in 1 and 2.

They did however just come off a 7 game series against the Heat, so I'll accept the layover factor as an excuse. Not only that but the Spurs finished off Phoenix early on and had the privilege of resting for a week, you saw how beneficial that proved that be in games 1 and 2.

I might give them the benefit of the doubt for one game, but not two. They had two days of rest after the miami series, and 2 days rest after game one with SA. However even tougher, they had 1 day rest going to detroit for game 3, including the flight in between, so in theory they should have been even more tired in game 3 when in fact they were a completely different ball club, energy and aggressiveness-wise. They also aren't strangers to playing this late in the season.

I don't think anyone could know what kind of toll it takes having 350 lbs. of Shaq on your back is like over a 7 game series.

Detroit is Ben Wallace.

If DWade is 100%... there is no injury, so there's no recovery time.

Not unless Shaq is also 100%. DWade can't do everything for the Heat.
DWade can't do everything for the Heat, but he can do most of it. And with Shaq in the middle you pretty much always have to collapse around him, which opens up the perimeter. With DWade at 100% I still put my money on Miami to win that game.

Duncan is the one with bad ankles who can barely dunk, but excuses are cheap. No way Ben Wallace takes eight days and two games to recover from shaq. They simply didn't bring detroit basketball into the series the first couple games.

Kinda, but it freaked me out the first time I saw Steve Nash. All I could think is that Iggy Pop was playing basketball now.

Lol, I guess I'm not the only one who saw that.
