16in display with 32mb Radeon 7500 ----> I'm droooooooolllling

Cmon this has got to be the one to get, too bad I don't have 4g's to spend.

And its a sony. Most sony laptops I've come across have died shortly after that one year warranty has run out. And if it dies while its under warranty, good luck with sony support. They're not all that good.

Tsk... at least the Dell notebooks have a 64MB video card in them...

1.7 ghz only?!
damn man! ASUS is show casing a 2.0 ghz laptop at CEbit right now...
laptop to get... for a few seconds you mean!
;o

<< What's the battery life? 10-20 minutes?? 😉 >>

heh, If I were feeling generous, I would say around 2 hours...maybe 1:30, depending on the brightness of the LCD panel 🙂

the 15" model weighs 8.6 pounds it says. with an ac adapter and bag you are lookng at 10. with the 16" probably another pound. this notebook is basically a desktop. japanese people in japan will snap this up since they ahve limited office space, but i dont know about america. who would want to carry this thing, and most of us have plenty of space. its heavier than the dell and more expensive, and slowe.r might as well get the dell, or the new compaqs that weigh 3-4 pounds less. you could carry the new compaq and a subnotebook and itd weigh this much.

This laptop would be sweet if you're a bodybuilder and can lug the thing around. Also I hope you have an ice pack to keep it cool. I bet with that large of a screen and a mobile P4 this baby runs HOT.

<< and it's not even DDR vram! >>

hmmm.... the spec sheet says its 128 bit DDR

but I'm still not sure why they didn't give it 64MB of vram. It seems that with a 1600x1200 display you might want a little more vram.

No... the ULTIMATE LAPTOP to get is THIS ONE.

Three of my friends have it... it's sweet!

Get it with:
Mobile Intel® Pentium® III Processor - 1.2GHz
512 MB PC133
20.0GB UltraDMA Hard Drive
Integrated 8X DVD-ROM
Modular CD-RW (8X/4X/24X)
15.0" TFT SXGA Active Matrix Display
ATI Mobility? RADEON? M6 32 MB SDRAM video memory
:Q😎
