Yeah, that's pretty much the best answer to this thread.

How about addressing Bumrush's well put post?

OK. With his viewpoints there he is hardly a "moderate" has he described himself.
So you consider these views extreme?
I'm a moderate and I will give you several reasons. I support the war on terror but I do not support an adminstration that is secretive, that has no desire to keep the public informed on matters that are important to us.

I value life, but will never value the life of a stem cell that will be destroyed over a living human being that can be cured of debilitating disease.

I have problems trusting someone that hides behind his religous beliefs to steer public policy to the right.

I have a problem with a president that talks about being a conservative yet continues to spend trillions upon trillions of dollars while giving tax cuts to the top 1% of this country.

I see rising gas costs, cronyism at the highest levels, leaked CIA information, Senate and House leaders under investigation and a under-qualified supreme court nominee that was picked because Bush likes her style. I see a country in disarry, losing legitmacy throughout the world while Bush continues to hide. I see directors of FEMA that couldn't even direct a pack of horses, I see United Nations representatives that don't know the definition of diplomacy, I see honorable people like Powell that are pushed out. It is not about hating the president, it is about accepting the sad fact that country is in much worse condition than it was 10 years ago.
Would you care to illuminate, point by point, the extremism in the views above, or will you just flatly refuse to provide any substantive basis to your charges?

Well?

You should pay more attention to the news.

He supports the war on terror, but not on Iraq. There's no proof that Iraq is related to 911.

Many Republicans limit Stem Cell Research on the grounds of the intrinsic value of life.

The President has on many occasions used religion as the basis for his decisions. Let's go with the most recent example. That nominee for the Supreme Court has 0 credentials. Bush even said that he picked her for her religious beliefs. That's it. Then there's Terri Shiavo from earlier this year.

Have you checked the deficit lately? And Bush is still cutting taxes. This does not line up with economic conservative beliefs.

Bush continues to nominate incompetant friends, as can be seen with Michael Brown for FEMA and that Supreme Court nominee. Many head Republicans are under investigation right now.

Care to read the news?

Well?

Or that he doesn't understand the terms.

People need to realize that dislike of Dubya doesn't equal liberal.

You going to take your toys home with you as well?

lmao

Oh, yes, I'm the immature one.
I answered the OP's question.
I know you're just dying to use the same arguments you've been using since it was signed, but other than mental masturbation, what's the point of that? You won't sway my opinion, I won't sway yours, so it's just a complete waste of time and bandwidth.

Ha! Why bother coming here to discuss "Politics and News" with an attitude like that?

We should close her down, nothing to see here.

It's certainly worthwhile to discuss with some people, but I've read enough of your posts to know you're not one of them. Your opinion and mine differ by too much in too many areas.

There isn't much to discuss with someone who blames Bush for congressional action.

Oh come on now, I know you are just joshing me 😉 Seriously though, these kinds of threads, especially based on the some of the OP's responses to valid points offered, deserves one.

How about someone who frequently makes uninformed posts by linking articles he never actually reads?

Well, you see, because we have a circle of liberals here who have nothing better to do than bash the Bush administration for every perceived "wrong" they can come up with.

There is an official slogan for the group - GLOOM AND DOOM! / THE SKY IS FALLING!!!

Truth be told, though, they aren't any different from the radical extreme left we see in the mainstream media and have to deal with on a daily basis.

I think part of the answer is one of perception. For many people who complain about "anti-Bush" feelings, the issue is that the bar for being "anti-Bush" is set way too low. Disagreeing with Bush's views, even many of his views, does not make someone "anti-Bush". While there are certainly some anti-Bush people here, I have a strong suspicion that many of the people like the OP simply can't tell the difference. No offense...but read some truly blindly partisan forums (DU and FreeRepublic might be a good start), it's easy to tell the difference.

Well, you see, there's also a circle of conservatives here who have nothing better to do than claim the Bush administration is practically perfect in every way and defend their every move.

There is an official slogan for the group - BUSH IS GOD'S MESSENGER! PRAISE THE INFALLIBLE BUSH!

Truth be told, though, they aren't any different from the radical extreme right we see in the mainstream media and have to deal with on a daily basis.

Ain't hyperbole fun? 😛

No, they hate all Republicans. All you need to know is that all Rebuplican's are evil and that the world would be better off if every one of them was exterminated. If you believe that, then you'll fit in very well here.

Also... don't forget to blame every little problem you have and every problem in the world on Bush. Everything is his fault.

I almost forgot, you might want to talk about a "revolution." Apparently the "revolution" failed in the last election, but there is going to be an uprising soon. You'll want to make offhanded comments about the pending "revolution." That will make you appear smart.

I don't know, might be worth a try for you...because whatever your doing isn't working very well.

You're a reactionary fool. From that perspective, almost anyone would look like an extremist liberal.

I always though of bumrush as being slightly to the right imo.

They are part of the borg collective. Unless the elite liberals in this country instruct them to, they cant respond with anything positive about the president. In their lust to satisfy the collective they even use bad logic and connect dots that arent even there to pain Bush in a bad light.

I heard they are on a crash course with Capt Kirks new startship called USS Reality. Could put them whole lot of them 6 feet under.

strange, sounds a lot more like you than "us"
