I ordered a pair of 1GB OCZ Platinum 2 full days ago.

I got the confirmation e-mail, but it still ahsnt shipped and they haven't even taken the $262 out of my account.

Website says in stock and ships within 1-2 business days.

It's too bad. They have some good deals usually.

Try calling them tomorrow when they are open and see what is going on.

I've had good experiences with them in the past.

 
They got my prebuild out fast, but when I canceled an order a few weeks later for someth8ing else, they did not refund me, had to call back
 
Same here... they only gave me a partial refund. They were REALLY slow to get the item shipped out... which in my case worked out cuz I didn't want the video card anymore. Took them 3 days before they sent the "ok to ship" to warehouse
 
Hmmm...that's a hell of a coincidence that they shorted you and I. In my case, we were talking 400 dollars they never refunded until I pursued it. (This was after they told me I would be refunded when I called to cancel.)


Incompetence is bad enough, but I have had a boss for my old job who would routinely try to skimp on refunding people
 
I ordered my CPU, mobo, and video card from them. All shipped out within the specified time. I don't know whats going on this time.
 
I ordered my Leadtek 6800GT from Monarch Computer in June. It took 11 days to arrive. I finally received the card which turned out to be disfunctional. I had to RMA it which took another 10 days. Doesn't do any good to call them. Very poor customer service.

I too will never order from Monarch again.
 
You're lucky they haven't taken the $$ out of your account. Usually they do so immediately and then delay shipping indefinitely. Maybe they're learning a lesson?? In any event, though, I agree that steering clear of the crooks at Monarch is a wise decision. I certainly have.
 
That's why I buy everything from Newegg or ZipZoomFly. Generally the latter, because NewEgg has tax in NJ now 🙁 Sucks!
 
I find all this kind of amusing.

Never I have I seen a company's reputation take such a nose dive in such a short time. Six months ago Monarch was among most AT'ers favorite etailers. Now they are about even with Tiger Direct.

Gonna happen to Newegg soon too. I am very angry with them, it's taken them 2 and a half weeks to get a replacement Windows XP Home disc to me. They haven't even shipped it yet.

I'd really love to hear from him about what is going on at Monarch.

Like I have said, I have only had good experiences with them, but it does seem there are a lot of complaints popping up.

It seemed to have started with the one member who got a Newcastle core Athlon 64 CPU when he ordered a Winchester core Athlon 64.

He stated he was given the run around trying to get it replaced, even having them call him a liar.

Yes, I remember that well. It was Amaroque and IMO they (Monarch) really dug their own grave there.
 
Don't know about all that but I had to visit the local fedex facility to pick up a mouse because they ship eveything "signature required". No exceptions. What a pain. Everyone else (except thr IRS) drops it off at the mangement office.
