Hey dickhead, can it.

Granted I havent ever met RossMAN IRL, but I'm not going to sit around twidding my thumbs while someone I know and care about has a problem and is pissing money away.

Why dont you go off and self fornincate somewhere if you cant come up with something supportive.

I might not know all the details, but it strikes me that as an adult, Rossman is responsible for his own actions and can spend as much as he has to spend (or wants to go into hoc for).

Your advice to him is certainly good advice -- stop spending, get out of debt, be responsible -- but unless Rossman appointed you as his guardian or put you in charge of protecting him from himself, I don't see what business it is of yours how much he spends and on what.

Of course, if Rossman decides to spend more than he should (despite your advice), he should also not come whining to you (or anyone else) when he gets into financial trouble.....

Unless someone is borrowing money from you, you do NOT tell them how to manage their money. It doesn't matter if you are the closest of friends, telling people how to manage their money is a huge faux paus.

Faux pas or not, i've been down that road.

Ross does not want to see where it ends up. I'm not going to push the issue, but I AM going to throw my two cents in.

What does that have to do with anything?

Most 28 year olds can't put that much down.

Yeah, I thinking that most 18 year olds can't do that........let alone 28 yr olds.

Yeah I'd have to agree with that one, I'm 18 and cant even put a down payment on a chia pet, not that I want one, but if I did I couldn't get one :(. I think it's good Psycho Andy cares about RossMAN's spending addiction, you kinna lost your cool about though Psycho but it happens. At some points in peoples lives, learing the hard way is the only way, once he gets credit collectors on him 24/7 and becomes seriously broke he'll change his mind about spending. You never know how much this guy is making though, maybe he's got a good job that pays well? If he's got the money to spend then he has a right to buy his toy's.

I understand what your trying to do PsycoAndy, and I hope it works. I sometimes give my 2 cents to friends who I know are making stupid mistakes. I'd rather get it out of my system then to keep it in and let them fall deeper in to their own stupidity. But as of now, its RossMan's decision if he want to get out of his debt or not. He will eventually have to learn to control his spending when he decide to get a family (or suffer the consequences if he don't). I don't think any attempts should be made to ban him from HD. Thats going too far.

That, above, and I'm about to buy a $322 video card(Radeon 9700 Pro), so I was wondering if anyone knew of any hot deals on these things. And yeah.... get a room, utilize pm's, or whatever.
