on the GS500.. my body aches.. my butt hurts like mad, I am limping from sitting all teh way.. in..

Today I did close to 225miles all together.

Rode Ortega highway with some GStwin.com riders.. it was FUN.. but god damn it next time I am taking more breaks.

Pictures when i get them.. it was gorgeous.. really good weather and good day.. lovely riding... I found a few things about my riding style around curves so i got to work on that..

oh well more later.. i my bath is ready.. time to soak in the tub.

maybe you need a bike with a longer wheelbase,for a little more comfy ride?
Was it your first ride in a while,that makes you sore too!!
I rode about 280 miles round trip a few years ago,in one day,{went to see a Girl;)}
on an old Suzuki twin,with a 6 speed tranny,like a 1971 bike, i think it was a 450cc, this was in 1979 LOL, had almost 3 hours ride each way,and stopped only for gas and Pee call LOL
i was like buzzing from the vibrations for hours in my hands and feet!!

I like to ride into NH and VT. It is 200 miles to get to where the ride really begins. Most of the guys on Gixxers and such just want to get off by then. Must be the shorter wheelbase. I am usually good for at least 500 miles, but I do take breaks.

200 miles on my gixxer feels like a thousand on my back and wrists.

They make handlebar risers you might want to look at. Makes it easier on the wrists especially.

Bah, be a real man - do it on a mountain bike. The most I've ever done was 50 and I felt like I'd been beaten with a baseball bat.

I think part of the problem for me was that the last 20 miles were hell.. I went in to reserve and at 70mph the bike revs at 6K which is the natural resonance fequence of teh tank.. so the whole bike was buzzing...

Yeah I do need to get used to the bike, though my back pain is now present but the pain was not there earlier today..either case I need to improve my posture.. but the pain that I had a few weeks back has disappeared.. sorta. I figured that if I hold the grips on the inside I am leaning in more so I hold on the outside of the grip and sit up more ..

Anyway I am going to bed.. Im sleepy.

I knew a guy who rode his moped from Bloomington, IN to Madison, WI, which is over 400 miles one way, in the middle of the winter. He was nuts.

So you're bike makes you sit more uppright... and 'busariders bike makes you lean over the gas tank, I would have thought the upright rider would have lasted longer than vice versa...
