Now here is a fact :

Well from 2004 onwards US and India are going to have a dual citizenship setup. Hence I will be having 2 passports, American and Indian. That solves your question .. when I want to get in touch with my roots, I will fly to India. And when the weather gets too hot, fly back to North America.

No, I'm not jealous of Indian (used in context to cover anyone living on the Continent of India) success in North America... it helps rive the wheels of the economy, and contributes to keeping myself, you, your family, my family, friends etc, gainfully employed... As for white trash, I'm sure you have your share of brown trash, but that's what you'll find in ANY country... there's always those who decide that the world owes THEM, and they shouldn't have to be held accountable for themselves.

Since you obviously had the lack of wherewithall to check my profile, you would not have noticed that i come from Canada, by way of birth in Ireland. Yep, you heard me, I'm an immigrant, much like your father, or grandfather or greatgrandfather probably was, or maybe even yourself.

The US is not a melting pot so much as a patchwork quilt, with every nationality on the world I'm sure, adding their own patch to the tapestry. Canada, conversely, is similar, but much more integrated with it's people's, which is why Canada lacks a national identity on the world stage.

And I stand by my last sentence, of which again, you construed to be me living as a US resident. If you don't like the conditions in one place, leave. Don't waste my precious oxygen on your mewling. A small disagreement here, MinorityReport. Ethnic groups are treated far better in the U.S than elsewhere in the world - even back in India. But that doesn't mean we have to shed our ethnicity. How can I, as a non-US resident, AND as someone not even born on the shores of North America, demand homogeniety??? I have no right to demand such. Nowhere in the US has there been stripping of ethnicity... if you're too blind to understand that every group makes their own distinct mark on society, then you really need to open your eyes.
