This is SICK!

<< All corpses used in the exhibition have been donated - many by people who have visited the exhibition and wanted to become a part of it after their death. >>

it was their choice...

Damn, now that's what I'd call controversial "art".

They better be handing out free buckets at the door 😉

Indeed, links with pop-ups are disgusting!

Lame that they decided to rename the exhibition for the States btw, they didn't bother renaming it from the original German title in Europe.

I saw some of these on a tv show/interview about a year ago. Its nothing that can't be done with synthetic material but the physiology detail is amazing, something that could be used in medical school or the likes. I wouldn't say that I'm comfortable with it by any stretch, just that its much different than you'd think and you would never guess that they are real corpses if you weren't told. They aren't mangle people from car wrecks but are perfectly preserved and coated with synthetic material that makes them look a maniquin with extreme physiological detail of organ systems etc.

Wonder if it will be any better than the cow that was sectioned in glass or the painting of the Virgin Mary in excrements

One man art is everyone elses crap <not to disparage the souls of the corpses used>

WTF was he thinking???

Agreed. I'm an art history major and art minor.....but jeezus....I'm not jumping out of my seat to see this one....

There are a lot of medical students (and professors and stuff) who go to see it. Those, and people who like freakshows.

<< They include a man who has been entirely skinned, with his skull cut away to reveal his brain, leaning forward over a chessboard. >>

Sounds like a scene straight out of the "Hellraiser" series of movies. Cool! :Q I'd go see this show.

I also saw that tv show. It is not nearly as "sick" as it sounds. They actually look really cool. I want to see it.

Yet again, I question some people's interpretation of art. Art is like sex: different strokes for different folks.
