I used to be tolerant of heights, but scared. But perfectly capable of walking on trails with dropoffs, as long as they weren't too crazy. Standing a few feet back from dropoffs of a few hundred feet. Driving in mountainous windy roads in foreign countries with no guardrail between you and death, just a few feet of gravel. Now I can't do anything like either of those two normal things. It sucks! I could fall in love and veto a trip to the Amalfi coast because of the cliffside drives.

That's insane. Doing that on my own, perhaps with a harness, would not scare me much. But having someone else near me, or having to trust someone else to hold on to or hold me, I could not do it. Like even if it's someone I really trust, I still could not do it.
