I was thinking... if you can have each card render half the game, then send it to two monitors, couldt you use a powerstrip custom monitor setting and a 2001fp (or any other monitor that does pip splitting the screen in half) to have a sort-of sli setup without the need for crazy drivers or even the vid cards knowing of each other. you could even have ati and nvidia crards rendering the 'screen' (its really two in one though) at the same time. it woudl be an interesting thing to explore... it wouldnt be a clean or effecient way to do it, but it would work. just my thoughts. comment away
 
No monitor that I'm aware of does PIP with multiple VGA/DVI inputs. I have a 2001FP and AFAIK all it can do is PIP with the Svideo/composite inputs. I'd imagine that the technology to actually split the panel output in 2 based on 2 separate VGA/DVI inputs would be quite difficult to implement.
