i don't have much track experience... and can't even put my knee down yet... if the rear end accidentally steps out on me on corner exit... id probably panic and let off... and then id be flying 20ft in the air...
Yeah, that is where racers get into trouble at first. Letting off is the worst thing you can do. Worst case otherwise is that you slide too much and lay the bike down, which isnt so big a deal. You are in full leather and armor after all. Usually, you just get up a bit sore. Flipping over though sucks.
CrazyMofo- I know what you mean about high silica tires like the BT's. They suck when cold. I rode on Michelin Pilot Sports, and had to be careful about breaking traction when I didnt mean to. Oddly though, I replaced them with Pilot Sport HPX tires, and they seem better cold. Haven't figured out why.
