Insufficient rotor wash. When the guy is moving this stuff off the helicopter he leaves a strap laying on the platform. Rotor wash would have blown it away instantly.

Wouldn't that be bad for you... The air is probably ionized and loaded with O3. I can't imagine crawling across two high voltage lines with all that power humming through them, can be healthy...

The electricity and the humming I could over with in a few minutes....


...but the bit where you hop out of a chopper onto some wires and crawl on said wires....nah..never gonna happen.

I found this video last night when someone showed the video of the crane hitting a power line.

It's safe, easy work as long as you take the proper precautions. Most of our work was from an insulated bucket truck though I have been in a helicopter a few times, mostly for inspections.
