Q: In your view, is the war in Iraq worth the toll it has taken in American lives and other kinds of costs, or is the war not worth these costs?
A: 44% Worth the Costs; 50% Not Worth Cost; 6% Not Sure
Supporters believe the war was worth it, whether weapons of mass destruction are ever found. They worry slightly that there is no exit strategy but view speaking out against the war as giving comfort to the enemy.
Opponents argue that Bush rushed the nation to war based on false evidence and without a plan for winning the peace, in the process alienating longtime allies. Worse, he took his focus off the real threat of al-Qaeda and the rebuilding of Afghanistan.
