Do it in public, invite Al-Jazerra to film it, etc.

Watch the "insurgency"(A.K.A. Saddam's old buddies hoping to get back in power) die down almost overnight. It would save hundred's of American lives once those idiots realize their "man" is not coming back to power.

One death could save so many lives and yet people want to pretend that guy has rights he never gave to the thousands he killed.

His head on a stick would bring the "insurgency" to it's knees. But that is far too easy... his death is worth so much more than another 1,000 troops but it won't happen that easy... he gets to die of old age thumbing his nose at the USA and to the glee of the Democrats and the French and any others who want to see the USA suffer right now. I hate politics so much...

Martyr ring a bell?

He should just be put in prison, let him write his biography, for the sake of history it must be done.

Okay, let him write his biography but he has to use that thin paper that rips really easily... and a fountain pen.

It's actually better to let the bastard rot in jail. Him rotting in jail actually does more damage to the myth surounding him and whatever legacy he would want left behind.

Beside, not all the insurgents are Saddam supporters. There are many different factions fighting US forces, some that even fight each other. Heck, there's even an Iraqi based group that dislikes both the US and the terrorists that are blowing up innocent people.

LOL, someone who thinks that the insurgency was fueled by the capture of Saddam and they are only fighting/waiting for him to come back into power. Yeah, the insurgency is AKA Saddams old buddies! Killing him would do nothing to "bring the insurgency to its knees". Where did you come up with this tripe? I can see why you hate politics so much.

I hate to agree with umbrella, but I certainly don't see the capture and detaining of Saddam as the driving force behind the ongoing insurgency and terroists attacks in the ME.

I think the worst thing we could possibly do is abandon all pretenses of "freedom" to brutually execute a world leader without a fair trial. That really doesn't mesh well with the whole "bringing democracy to the world" image we are try to project, ya know?

"The glee of the Democrats and the French and any others who want to see the USA suffer?" WTF are you smoking?

Me thinks that the insurgency would take one look at Saddams 'head on a stick' and take the stick and shove it up our collective poopers.

I see no valid reason in further infuriating the already furious.

You are correct sir!

The insurgency has nothing to do with putting Saddam back in power. The people involved in this are probably just as happy to have him gone as we were to get him out but that doesn't mean they won't use it as an excuse to wreak more havoc.

Do you really think that the insurgents are fighting because they think it will help get "their man" back in power? And that killing him and "putting his head on a stick" will pacify them.
LOL!

Lets put him to work.

Make him restore the wetlands for starters.

Then he can build homes for the Kurds.

Then he washes humvees all day.

At night, the only TV he gets is the South Park Movie and the episodes he was in.

The first problem is that you assume the "insurgents" are fighting for Saddam....most likely they would not care at all, call Saddam a CIA American Agent and continue on their merry way
