I don't know about the fat man but I defintely don't trust a government agency that has funding dependency based on proving a "crisis" and have been caught playing games with the data.

Yep it was Asher that made a post, that was wrong, and some in the media picked it up. Even after being proven wrong he just back peddled and kept his Anti-GW statment.

it is human nature to take the path of least resistance.

The path of least resistance in this case is to listen to someone who has media power and a popular show. If he says it, it MUST be true therefore I do not need to do any research on my own.

This is not exclusive to Rush listeners...Keith Olbermann, Rachel Madow, Bill Maher Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly all have the same type of followers.

People like hearing their own opinions repeated back to them and Rush can easily form a world view and some talking points that you can claim as your own without all of that bothersome research and thinking that you used to have to do.
