[17:37] <Thazul> hey, I baught an AMD T-bird
[17:37] <Thazul> and installed it all yesterday
[17:37] <Thazul> I was wondering whats a dangerous temp. for the tbird 750 to be at, its at 152 F right now, is that to hot?
[17:40] <nox-> did you use the stock heatsink/fan?
[17:40] <Thazul> it got up to like 62 C
[17:40] <Thazul> I went and baught a really nice heatsync & fan for 30 bux, its an AOC built for Duron/T-birds 750mhz or higher
[17:40] <Thazul> it spins at 6000 RPM's
[17:41] <Thazul> I baught it from Fry's Electronics, it was $30 US Dollars.
[17:42] <Thazul> I have heatsync compound, I didnt put on yet
[17:42] <Thazul> you think that would make a huge diff?
[17:43] <Thazul> hehe no its not, it wont get above 158F (65c) before it shuts off
[17:43] <Thazul> I have hardware monitoring on
[17:43] <Thazul> if it gets that hot it turns off, I will smear the heatsync compound on
[snip]

theres some more stupid things but overall kinda funny. they should really provide better documentation with these things so people like that don't burn out their CPU and say AMD sucks (and whats a heatsync? he kept on calling it that 😛)
