Alright Amused, I read your post and decided to think on it a bit before responding plus I'm on vacation flopping my dirty flip flops out all over the place to breastfeed any takers. Good Times!

So any way, I am certainly not offended though your use of the word "dirty" is concerning as well as the choice to use the words "flip flops" rather than breasts. It says a lot about what has been instilled in you and it's not entirely a healthy... no strike that, what I mean to say is not entirely a mature mind-set.

You've made it clear I won't be able to change your mind so all I will say is if you chose to see it as natural I don't you'd feel as distressed as this so clearly makes you feel. Also if you find women's breasts "dirty" you may have bigger issues than whether a woman chooses to openly breastfeed. Now, the woman on the photo in the photo is far bigger than I could ever choose to be but I'm impressed with her level of comfort and that's saying something because I'm very comfortable in my own skin.

The baby was hungry. Those privacy sheets are cumbersome at best. Hiding in a filthy public bathroom is bullshit and unhygienic. Men play an equal roll in the creation of life. A life that for the first many months requires sustenance. The least they can do is support a baby's needs who by the way understand nothing about timing or social graces or of a mother's need to hide her body to keep uptight, immature putz's comfortable 100% of the time.

No, I'm not offended. I'm disappointed and shaking my head. Again the"dirty" thing is something you may want to pursue on a psychological front. Women's breasts are beautiful especially in all that they are and all that they represent.

You're a bit of a weirdo in this.

Look at the picture again. The word"flip flops" wasn't being used as an euphemism.

i’m convinced that if I can just get him to accept the evil of the dark self hate that lies within those flip flopping obsessed soles of his, I can bring him to the light on this matter but frankly speaking you laying your shaming judgementalism out on the top of the table is now going to make that more difficult. How can I get him to see the beauty of the feminine form if I can’t get him to relive the pain of separation from the oceanic state of oneness we all lost that nursing at the breast and it’s loss and the desire to return to it represents. To know oneself, to understand why so many men resent flip flops at the table, and how best to transcend this curse, will be best effected by feeling how bad we felt when told defeat equals dirty and disgusting.

One of the thoughts that ran through my mind reading earlier replies to the OP was how much they reminded me of your own masterfully accurate analysis of me.

The flip flops refer to the thongs or goaheads sitting on the table by the nursing mother, not her breasts. Putting shoes on a table not public nursing is what was referred to as disgusting as would eating off the floor be. Hope this helps.

Women, don't do this!

In your house its ok if you want or where no one sees them but not in a restaurant. It is a public place devoted to food consumption.
The truth is I don't agree, I don't know what you think, but it makes me sick.
I know that many will come out to defend it, and they will say a lot of things in their favor, but they won't even change my mind about this act.
It's a bad habit. You can tell what's been instilled in her house and it looks like it's normal for her, as if nothings happened, but... don’t be putting your dirty flip flops on top of the table. It isn't right.

If that makes your sick, you should seek some counseling. It's natural, and beneficial to baby and mother.

Obviously you need to think a bit more.

Do you thank your partners for the refill when they blow in your ear?

Just askin'..

I started thinking something was up when I got to the "this is a place for food consumption" line so I made sure that I read all the way through. I will readily admit that I totally missed the flipflops on the table when I first looked at the picture but damn did you catch a lot of people. So @Amused

Ok I edited the other post and I'll say it again here. I was distracted and had vacation brain but just got home and everything makes sense now. Please all of you who came to the conclusion I be dumb afford me some leeway... Or don't. I'll survive either way.

*wink* I apologize Amused for getting it so wrong.

She's lucky I wasn't around.. I would have walked up to her with a very serious face and said.. " Hey, mind if I use the vacant one?" ;P

Oh shit! The flip flops were a classic example of misdirection!

I would still want that second, empty nipple though...

I'm just cool like that.

You forgot the line that I taught my brother's parrot -- who learned it well:

"Boi-yoi-yoi-yoi-yoi-nnngg! He-he . . . he-he . . . he-he . . . .
