This is why I get depressed.
My guess is that you're probably depressed because you're stuffed full of fat, sugar, salt and processed garbage and are severely dehydrated a good percentage of the time like a lot of people that have no clue about proper nutrition.

a country of one manufactured outrage after another. When if people sat back and really asked themselves, "what issue do I really have that my school district is trying feed my children more healthier options", I'm sure they would realize how silly the question even is.
LOL! So complaining about manufactured crisis while creating an emo driven thread about the manufactured crisis of anyone supposedly complaining about someone trying to feed their kids healthy food.

What healthy options? I see a styrofoam tray with nothing but processed garbage on it.

And who exactly was complaining about "healthy options" anyway?

Pretty poor reporting all the way around anyway, as I can't really tell what the actual complaint is- I'd assume the opposite of thinking the garbage shown is anything particularly healthy though.

Someone did invent (intentionally?) a great new term though: "Vomplaining."

LUNCHSCANDAL.jpg

I would assume 'vomplaining' involves vomiting your dissatisfaction with the lunch menu.

i would assume that someone accidentally typoed, since v and c are right next to eachother on a qwerty keyboard...

Ask for a better lunch lady. Nay. Demand a better lunch lady!

What? You get your lunch orders from Washington D.C.?

Oh yeah, you're fucked.

Fucked really hard.

Some little piss ant in Washington DC is feeding your child this lunch.

Maybe give that little piss ant less power over your child's life.

Wait what? A mom, who apparently doesn't supply her own lunch for her kid is complaining about a lunch provided by the school? Shut the fuck up!

Agreed. While the kids are not to blame, their loser parents are absolute trash and need to be locked up for labor camps.

At some point you need to accept institutions, like schools, to help provide for children, etc. What you don't have to accept is layer upon layer of bureaucratic incompetence, wild deficit spending, piss ant plebes in Washington DC, doing the minimum fucking possible, because they have taken all of your money, and all of your control away, and lunches like this.

It's intolerable and unacceptable.

A better lunch was available. Her precious Johnny chose not to eat it.

When I think back
On all the crap I ate in high school
It's a wonder
I can breathe at all
And though my lack of nutrition
Hasn't hurt me none
I can still squeeze between the walls

I'm not sure what you are droning on about. It's Friday and I've had a long week. If you want to post something that makes sense I'll try to respond.

Btw, I'm very cautious about what I put in my body and my overall health. That would be the most logical inference seeing that I started this thread, right?

I've been in high-school cafeterias, and I'm actually jealous of that lunch. :)

Just kidding, it looks hideous, and exactly the same as my high school lunch 30 years ago.

Right. And anyone who isn't homeschooled has no right to complain about their student's curriculum.

In the age of Diabetes and overweight children. Why are people complaining that people are trying provide healthy options for their kids to eat.

You are more than dumb.

First off that food looks like processed shit.

2nd what if anything actually goes with that bun?

3rd I suppose you think someone who is 6'3" or is engaged in sport is going to somehow think that is not concentration camp food. Nutraloaf is probably worth more than that shit.

At my kids elementary I was surprised how horrible the lunches looked. I thought it was even worse that they don’t even use the kitchen in the cafeteria anymore to make fresh meals, they just have a company come in and deliver disgusting premade meals in styrofoam boxes. Aside from it being disgusting it must create a huge amount of waste compared to putting freshly prepared food on plates. When my wife went to the same elementary school as a kid they had a small staff and the kids took turns helped out with the dishes and cleaning.

This is why I get depressed. Between people refusing to be informed (by actually reading the article) to people who are informed complaining about the new dietary restrictions on school lunches (that the schools have vegetables for kids to eat). We live in a country of one manufactured outrage after another. When if people sat back and really asked themselves, "what issue do I really have that my school district is trying feed my children more healthier options", I'm sure they would realize how silly the question even is.

Maybe you could take into account the issue is not with good food but with the tiny amount of food they are serving grown high school students? And that still looks like shit food.

One huge plus about my kids school is that they still make lunch everyday. granted there are 100 students from K-8th grade.

It's actually pretty good also. The kids can get 2nds and sometimes 3rds lol

for $1.50 a day its a good deal.

just wish she had more then 20 minutes at lunch..

This is one of those times you should have just kept quiet. You know there is an article attached to that picture. I guess all those words, spaces and periods are hard to figure out. Better to just look at a picture and rage out.

Since this is the 2nd time you posted without reading the article. I'll help you out. The student purposely chose that menu and posted it to manufacture outrage, you know like the outrage that led you to post your last two posts.

Lol, what are the parents expecting? Skyline chili with a 60oz soda and a brownie desert? It looks like a burger with veggies and milk. Seems like a decent meal to me. That whole milk probably has 200 calories alone in it. What a weird thing to get upset about. That mom needs to go back to watching Days of Our Lives.

What about it? I see no context. Can they get seconds? Did the kid throw away the bun? Did the kid not get milk? Are there no condiments provided? Is it a la carte? A picture is really worthless.
