when you put it that way...neither one sounds really all that appealing...

😕

agreed, I would hope that the person would look at themselves before going out and pop that son of a bitch.

I wouldn't recommend taking durgs unless its really bad. There are negative side effects with all acne related medication. I took them for a few months when I was a teen and it nearly did me serious liver damage.

The best thing you can do is change diet. This was a real success for me. I managed to cut out most processed sugar from my diet. So cut out most snacks and just ate decent meals which weren't high in fat. So a balanced diet, with protien, carbohydrate and vegtables as a part of every meal.

It's kinda hard, especially when you have to give up soft drinks, sugar in your coffee etc. But worth it.

You guys know how to pop them properly? Use a sterilized needle to make a small puncture at the tip. Then create pressure around the area and pop it so that something like a small, hard, white object comes out. Thats basically the zit master. Get that out and the zit will go away. Also, keep squeezing/dabbing until all of the blood goes away and what I assume to be white blood cells starts taking over. It'll eventually die off, and because all the red blood is gone, you won't get no disgusting red scab.

You can go to most skin care places and get a special tool to pop the zits and stuff. I just got em for free and had to endure much pain because my mom was a cosmotologist (sp?) and thought it'd look bad if her son walked around with a zit faced, so she made sure my complexion was good.

Um, the puss of a zit is white BECAUSE of white blood cells attacking the infection caused by bacteria backing up inside the pore.

Popping a zit simply removes the blockage and allows for faster healing, but at a highly increased risk of scaring and spreading the infection to other pores.

There is no clinical evidence that anything in one's diet has any effect on acne unless it's a specific food allergy.

This is why it's better to leave the whiteheads alone... it's your own bodies mechanism of killing the bacterial infection from the blockage of the pores... plus I've noticed that if you leave them long enough, they go away REALLY quickly, without scarring...

For the serious acne infected, see your dermatologist.

Remember your hands are usually the most dirty areas on your body (followed closely by the areas around your mouth). If You squeeze a spot without properly cleaning your hands you can infect the spot and it'll stay red for a lot longer.
Here's the process you should use:

Clean hands -> wash face with real hot water + soap (pref anti-bacterial) -> Squeeze that mofo -> wash hands + face again.

Also, only squeeze spots that are really ready to pop otherwise you can just damage the skin and cause minor internal bleeding = big red mark that lasts ~ 1 week or two.

Edit: can't type for sh!t

never had acne per se, but following the pop of a zit with neosporin (pop it at night) seems to work very well.
Also, I would go scab over whitehead, but none is best ty.

Cutting your hair short may help if you've got really oily hair. I buzzed my hair short about 6 months ago because I was getting tired of trying to find a hairstyle I liked and I've noticed a big decrease in the amount of zits I get, especially the deep ones on the back of my neck.

I used Accutane in high school years ago and it dried the living crap out of my skin at first, but it did work pretty well.

if i see a big juicy whitehead my first thought is i should go up and squeeze that sucker for them since they are too dumb to do it themselves.

I pop mine. Don't get very many any more though. It was bad when I lived at home, though. Whenever my mom saw one on my back, she would just start squeezing it ... those suckers hurt.

my problem is blackheads on my nose. I would get those strips, but I'm afraid of having to hand over my man-card at the checkout. 😛
