I want one of these. This might be a huge security risk if someone can take this on a passenger plane. Security guards won't know what the hell this is.

Probably not. They'd see it on the scanner and investigate, and it probably wouldn't take that long to figure out what it was. If TSA doesn't know what something is, they don't just let it pass through.

Not in its cube shape. They'll take it out ask a few questions and you can just say its just a puzzle game.

Uhm...it appears that you pack powder in the back with the bullet in the front - no casing, and a primer is fired from the rear. Just a guess, but the ammo is included in that monstrosity.

If you read the article, the bullets are part of the cube as well as the tools necessary to assemble it.

Right, but any sort of explosive powder would be detected at the security checkpoint. Most airports I've been in over the last few years use these weird contraptions that shoot compressed air at you to "sniff" for explosive/biological residues.

It's kind of scary to think that someone could bring it onto a plane, but on the other hand the potential for damage can't be that high. The only issue is that most people wouldn't be aware that it's a single-shot gun and may not take advantage of that fact.

To hold everyone hostage all you need is one bullet.

But I agree it probably isn't feasible this will be used in a real life scenario.
You need someone brainy enough to put this contraption together in a tight space.
And the brainy dude probably doesn't have the brawn to match.

It's probably a better setup for a movie.

this is public knowledge, but could just have easily been kept secret and 0% chance TSA would detect. hell even after being posted on the internet i give TSA 10% chance of detecting a threat.

lol. All one has to do is change the shape and color and TSA will never realize it. They are a reactionary force run and staffed by fools. You could put children in charge of security and get the exact same results. Everyone knows this.
