I never realized how insecure humanity is. Wow.

So, because I think a joke is funny, I'm a racist?

It's a WORD, people. That's all.

ASSHOLE

is also a word. Doesn't mean it's a good word to use in reference to someone.

That's all.

No one ever said it was a "good" word to use in reference to someone. It is, however, undeniably funny when used in this context.

Humor is not an acceptable veil to throw over racism.

If that bumper was all in good fun - which it isn't, and I doubt most people who would buy it aren't racist - maybe it would be acceptable.

Again, it's only racist if you're in capable of seeing the humor.

The fact that you're so ardently insistent that it's racist is probably only a veil for your own racism.

The sticker isn't specifically calling anyone an ni-double-guh-er...it's a play on words that's meant to be ironical since Obama is just about as far away from the type of person people would commonly associate with that word while still being "black."

Stop being so sensitive.

You're a giant douchebag.

The above statement was just a joke.
Unless you take it seriously.

Now if I said that to someone in real life, and they got angry, well I'd just say, "stop being so sensitive - it was just a joke".
If I said it to a particularly large, muscular man, it probably wouldn't stop me from getting beat to a pulp.

I'm not sensitive at all. But maybe you should be a little sensitive to how other people perceive and interpret what you say.
That's the lesson here. Don't say dumb stuff for the sake of humor especially when it contributes nothing positive to an individual or to society.

*golfclap*

You feel better now that you've put down someone you think is racist? That make you feel better? Your good deed for the day?

LOL.

I didn't put you down at all. I don't know you. I just dissected your logic.

I didn't mean anything personal at all. You missed the entire illustration. Which is exactly the problem.

The sticker is in pretty poor taste, but all this angst, accusations of racism and calls for "civil justice" make me laugh. Both sides of the American political spectrum claim to have the moral high ground, but in reality both sides are equally willing to take cheap shots at the opposition whenever the opportunity arises.

Both sides feign outrage at comments from the other party like a bitch-ass soccer player diving to the ground in hopes the other side will get a red card. It's funny to me that the OP suggests the sticker owner deserves some kind of violent reprisal for his display of ignorance, all with a smug sense of moral superiority.

I don't accept rude obnoxious behavior from either side. BTW, are we talking about political parties or racist/enlightened groups?

Did you just compare a game with rules to politics?

Violent reprisals? Did someone end up dead? A slap to the back of the head is me being polite.

Oh yeah, my sense of superiority isn't smug if I am superior to the boors.

On the contrary, it's only racist if you have no sense of humor.

If I were President and someone made a sign/bumper sticker that said "No more McWoppers" in reference to my Irish-Italian heritage, I'd laugh right along with them. Why? Because it's FUNNY!

America has lost its ability to laugh at itself. Everything is too serious and people are way too easily offended.

Grow up and grow a thicker skin. You'll be far happier.

lulz... Putting your "Irish-Italian" heritage in the same boat as African Americans/blacks in the US of A.

You're right though. It's just humour. Where do you live, and where do you park? Let's plaster your car with that bumper sticker, then drive it into the ghetto. It's just a joke right?

It would be like that scene from Die Hard 3, except maybe without Samuel L. Jackson to save you.

Well...considering renig means to back out of a decision the stupid sticker doesn't even make any sense.
