I don't know if this is really off-topic, but I just wanted to say what a great place the AnandTech Forums are!
I've never met such uniformly helpful people anywhere else on the web, and that's saying alot.
Just recently, I posted a WTB message for a lousy internal y splitter. I had called Radio Shack to see if they had them, and the guy I spoke to said they don't carry them. I figured there was about a 50% chance he didn't know what he was talking about, but I was too lazy to drive down there if someone would sell me a cable for a couple of bucks.
Anyway, I posted on the for sale forum, and got about a million messages that I could find what I needed at Radio Shack, or just about anywhere.
To my great embarassment, a senior member here, OSMO, even offered to put one in the envelope and mail it to me for free. While I realize that the postage was not much, and he may have had a surplus cable, he also didn't have to get up off of his butt to help me.
Thanks, Osmo!
