This is a best price I ever found Lexmark printer E240 - Clubit

I'm not too familiar with laser printers but we've had many sub $100 even sub $50 deals here. Is there something about this printer that makes it special and would justify $150 spent on it?

No there isn't.

And this is what... the third or fourth person I've seen pushing ClubIt stuff in the last two days?

I don't mean to crap on your thread, but there are several other good personal laser printers out there that are sub $100 and even close to $50 AR. Do a search for "laser" and you find the posts.

I have seen color laser printers for under $200...if you're gonna spend $150, you might as well spend $200 on the color model.

I noticed that, too.

Hell, I got my Samsung Color Laser from Staples for $132 AR last week... 🙂

Yea, if it looks like fish and smells like fish...

Alisolm & Nessism do not judge the book by the cover.

For what it's worth, it is the cheapest price on this printer based on Pricegrabber
It may be the cheapest price but not the lowest cost because it has a $10 shipping charge and NextWarehouse.com has it for $155.84 with free shipping. So the 2 are pretty much the same.

And with a starter toner cartridge that only prints 1,500 pages and the replacement cartridges costing $70+ for only 2,500 pages, you can find a cheaper printer with better starter cartridges and cost per page than this!

I should have clarified that it was the cheapest for me since I am in CA. Tax on the 10.00 difference in price means it's cheaper for me. I know nothing about this printer, I was just verifying the price seemed to be a good deal for someone who wants this particular printer since this is hot deals. Maybe it's faster and better built than than the sub-100.00 printers, who knows, I don't. Maybe there is something in the specs that people like that justifies the extra money:
Up to 27 ppm (letter), 26 ppm (A4) printing, as fast as 8-second time to first page, parallel and USB support, installable memory up to 80MB.

I am sure you can find cheaper per page printing but it doesn't seem out of line when compared to my Samsung that is 79.99 for a 3K cartridge, 2.7cents/page. I am not aware of cheap (inexpensive) printers that give you a 60% or greater ink cartridge to start. It seems to me that a 1500 page starter is better than the 1000 page starters cartridges that are given on all the inexpensive laser printers. The sub 100 Samsung printers give you a 1000 page starter cartridge and not the full 3000 page cartridge that sells for 70-80. Even the 400.00 HP 1320 printer gives you a 1000 page starter cartridge.

I could be way off here, but do a search on users and check these guys out:

All posting about Clubit or dissing their competitors and all new members?

Something is well shady.
