This guy is surprisingly not bad with a keyboard

I actually really enjoyed looking at some of his stuff. Pretty good stuff in there. Its not even my type of music normally.

Sorry buddy, sounds like noise to me. He may know how to play, but the way he does it is totally lopsided.

lopsided?

HERE!
1. Heavier, larger, or higher on one side than on the other.
2. Sagging or leaning to one side.
3. Characterized by the domination of one competitor over another.

#3 explains this totally! The damn music in the background, drowns out what he's playing. It's NOISE!

Are your ears broken? Who watches a Youtube video expecting studio-quality sound? How is his playing lopsided? He's playing along to a backing track. Unless you think he's magically playing the percussion and bass parts with his mind.

How about, IT'S A DRUM TRACK. The boy doesn't have the extra two hands he'd need for that part of the beat you know...

Great beat BTW  Catchy as hell

EDIT: This is now my favorite Mega Man X music. Yep, wasn't even in any of the games, but all their music can go fuck itself now, this is THAT awesome.

I liked it. He obviously has a good understanding of rhythm and melody and knows the keyboard well. I don't understand why the OP thinks it is surprising though...? I guess b/c he is funny looking? What that has to do with music I don't know.

I thought that too..but if you listen to his samples...it doesn't sound the same as his stuff on YouTube. I decided not to.

He has singing in some of them. I want more of his youtube improv stuff.

"Lopsided" is not the correct term to describe the accompaniment being too loud... I had no idea what you were talking about.

Besides, he's playing to a track in the background in his bedroom. Maybe it sounded fine to him, but the camera recording the audio is more sensitive to bass, etc, etc.

I enjoy this a lot. I am even more interested in seeing what he'll be doing in 10+ years. I'll have to keep tabs on this guy.
