I see you have to go down to the state legislature to try to compete with "women can shut that down" and "rape babies are God's will." Nope, still far behind. Keep digging.

I still don't believe that's a non-joke article. On a related note, did you see how much Jesse Jackson Jr. won by last night? Not bad for someone who hasn't shown up to work in months, is in Mayo for bipolar disorder, is under investigation, and who barely campaigned. Of course, we know that people vote smartly and not on petty things like party affiliation or skin color, so someone should be along shortly to explain just HowTF JJJr. pulled off a win like that...any minute now....yep, any minute there'll be a Dem here to explain that....just, wait for it....yep, almost here... :D

And Rome continues to burn....... :(

Digging for what? This is an 8 time convicted felon with possibly more charges coming down the pipe that was elected to a public office. Doesnt that worry you at all that somebody like that can be elected?

Not really since I would rather live in Somalia than Detroit.

Should worry you more that BOTH Dem's and Rep's don't want to make it to hard to run if they are convicted or lose their benifits as well.

This has come up before and both parties don't want to make it tough as you never know if they will get caught.

The real lesson here is that the media are not doing a decent job of informing the public.
Positions in state legislatures often go to the wackiest people since the public rarely knows anything about them.

And if anyone really wants to criticize the people who get elected to state legislatures you can start with the Republicans who have made it their primary objective to gerrymander congressional districts so minorities and Democrats can't get elected.

What stuns me the most is not the people voting for him, that is fully expected, it is how he even is allowed to be on the ballot.

The public doesn't care to know about these people! "Look, Honey Boo Boo is on the idiot box!"
