Yes, there are corrupt cops and military in Colombia. However, it is not like the days of Pablo Escobar and the cartels. I hesitate with your usage of "many." I'd think it would be more accurate to say "some." While the cops can still be bribed, most of them are unlikely to take drug money these days. Uribe is serious, and Colombia's security has remarkably improved.
