This guy hacks his neighbor wifi due to loud music...

It always amazes me with these people that do illegal acts and post it up on the Internet for everyone to see.

That's awesome, surprised he didn't play "America, FUCK YEAH!"

Also, WEP is easily cracked as he showed. With WPA2 this would probably still be possible, but would take orders of magnitude longer.

I had access to the utility room so when my upstairs neighbors kept having their parties until 4am I just started turning their power off

I'm somewhat disappointed in his choices for alternate sound though. It should have been loud, explicit porn.

Man his neighbors are terminally stupid, most routers that I've seen for the past 3-4 years (if not longer) come with WPA2 enabled by default.

Check that again. Its a drop down list, and WEP is ahead of WPA and WPA2. Most people pick the first one on the list and then just type in a shitty password and call it a day.

Isn't WPA2 256 bit encryption? I don't think you're going to brute force that unless they have a really short key or something.

I always thought WPA2 was attacked by MiM with wifi pineapples.

I could swear I read somewhere that WPA2 must be the default encryption protocol for all wifi devices produced since two thousand whatever. But now I look on Wikipedia and can't find it so...

In other news, after watching video 2, as soon as I get home I am checking my wifi security settings and putting a post it note on all my webcams.

total dummy here ...
Don't you need the wifi password to get in? And the streaming device has to be shared?

Lol that's awesome. You guys get your panties WAY too much in a bunch. Who cares if it's illegal, just don't get caught. Somebody who is stupid enough to use zero security or very little security is not going to know where to even start in trying to figure out who did it. When it comes to physical security you are expected to lock your doors, windows, etc or cops won't help you, and insurance won't either. Should be the same with digital security.

I have a neighbour who plays the radio super loud every single day that it's nice out, all day. Sucks when I'm on night shifts trying to sleep in the day. It's one thing to have construction noises or something, at least those arn't constant, but this is constant. All I hear is a muffle sound non stop. Starts at around 8 all the way to like 10. It's loud enough that you can be anywhere within the block and hear it loud and clear. This started near the end of summer last year and I was hoping it was going to be a one time thing, but clearly not. I will need to tune my magic wand to the same frequency as that station and inject my own music some time.

My work-issued laptop has had black tape over the webcam since day 1 haha. My desktop webcam only gets plugged in when I need it.
