I don't understand why people where this shit in public and think it's acceptable. I wanted to ask this guy why he felt it was appropriate, but I'm sure it would have ended badly.

We also have some people driving around with big signs on the back of their trucks that say:

DOES THIS ASS MAKE MY TRUCK LOOK BIG? with a picture of Obama next to it.

I don't think I've ever seen a single person with a racist, homophobic, sexist, etc. shirt or sticker that could speak proper English (even though it's their first language) and concisely argue a point without resorting to profanity and slurs.

The saddest part is, they feel superior.

and

''Only people with an imagination would find this offensive. I don't see anything wrong with it' (A gun hording, samoan guy....probably is racist lol)

LOL butt hurt much. It's a freaking shirt and the other guy was white. And obama is a failure (as all politicians are really).

If the shirt said, "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for the ******". Then you might have a reason to be butt hurt.

Actually, those that don't vote cannot be blamed for the failures of ALL of these politicians!!!

I don't blame the politicians, I blame the Voter!!!

Really? REALLY? I could give a shit less if he actually named someone or their political party.

But the only thing he focused on with his 'message' is the color of someone's skin, as if to say 'Because he is not white that automatically means he will/has done a shitty job'.

Get the fuck outta here with that non-sense.

AFAIK there were only white people running for the President these past 2 elections?

This is news when our President is ACTUALLY black, until then, outrage not found.

I don't understand that attitude. The best defense someone could use for voting for Romney would go something like "Race had no part in my decision. I voted for the candidate whose stated goals and history most closely matched what I thought was good for the country". That at least makes you think they made a decision based on objectively relevant criteria. That guy is basically saying "I could go into policy and voting records, but why do that when nothing matters to me except race".

I'm not going to say that all the people I see wearing those tacky ass "Hope and Change" or "Yes We Can" full front screen printed Obama t-shirts are much better though.

Back in college, I had a shirt that said "Too all you virgins, thanks for nothing." I blame them.

Again who cares you freaking cry baby. Poor baby got offended.

Instead of actually putting some thought into a logical, coherent thought that clearly states what your opinion is and refutes mine, the best you could come up with, not once but twice, is a condescending insult that has no bearing what-so-ever on my original post.

If it said, "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for Obama," I wouldn't find anything wrong. That's just a political view, and it isn't wrong for criticizing a political party if you don't agree with their views and actions. However, his shirt implies that the reason there is a problem is because Obama is black, and not white like the "other guy." That's a problem.

If you don't see a problem with that, you're probably racist as well, whether you realize it or not. Racism isn't a matter of how politely or callously you say it; believing that the social, economic, etc. problem with someone (or something) is related to, or directly caused by someone's race is racism by definition.

Again who cares you freaking cry baby. Poor baby got offended.

Thank you for proving my first post in this thread.

We are in the era where everyone thinks their opinion is important and that we all want to hear it. People seem to think because they can post their opinions freely online for everyone to read (and probably get feedback through Facebook; finding like-minded simpletons who they interact with on a daily basis), they should do the same out in the real world and that everyone wants to see/hear what they have to say. Pretty annoying.

It's really a freedom of speech issue. Once you start being outraged over a t-shirt slogan, the next step is to purpose legislation to ban such. We've already gone overboard with hate speech legislation, to the point that you will get less time for punching someone than you will for calling them a racial slur in many cases. God forbid your kid makes a gun our of a french fry in the school cafeteria. Aren't we going a bit overboard with our outrage?

Do you really want to go there? If not, then stop stirring the pot and ignore the guy and his ignorant shirt. We've got to accept (ignore) the bad speech if we want to protect the good speech, unless it really does directly incite people to break the law.

I'm sorry no one seems to find your shirt as clever as you'd hoped.

How is this worse than people voting for Obama twice. Once I can understand, but twice?

People that didn't get enough of Bush. We're going into the fourth term of Bush's presidency. 16 glorious years of Bush. yay :^|
