Less leftwing posters and more neutral/rightwing posters. I don't know where they all went, maybe they ran away after the November election or the January election in Iraq.

With that said, it seems like the remnants of the leftwing crowd are churning out as many threads as humanely possible and creating super-threads to aggregate all thoughts on a particular topic, giving said topics more importance.

This is interesting cause it's reminiscent of so many last stands.

The spewing of op-ed pieces with the same old incorrect data has definitely slowed down. Lest I remind you however, the exact same situation existed in the reverse during Clinton's reign. Then it was the self-pronounced conservatives that were acting like ninnies. Don't get too cozy.

the far left has been more silent lately but instead posters from the far far right have entered the forum and filled it with ... starnge.. posts

how about some more centrists where we can actually have a discussion about issues instead of the usual flamefests?

I see you're working as hard as possible to turn this forum into the relatively rightwing Off Topic.

I think with the fleeing of the leftwing crowd, were having more constructive discussions, no? You and I can agree/disagree without calling each other names, right?

Hey, I was glad that they put a stop to capital punishment on kids 🙂

fleeing? Like who? It's just about the same people as a year ago minus a lot of the rabid right wing fascist types that just get themselves banned over and over and finally got the point..you can be a sick racist/homophobe/xenophobe on the mainstream talk radio but it gets you banned here. (Even though the whining about not getting to be a said type goes on)

ohh no, the far left has just been replaced by far right, nothing changes

the scale is the same, it is about how sure you are of being correct and how extreme your opinions are

Red states, blue states? Damn, still can't get that election out of your system, huh?

You are the one who brought up the election.

I will agree that there seem to be fewer morons from the left, and thankfully the morons from the right are retreating as well. All in all, there seem to be fewer morons in general, something that is helping to raise the level of discourse around here.

What I noticed was that as the election approached, more and more raving idiots seemed to be joining up to get in one last round of "LOOK AT ME!" before the election. After the election, those idiots stayed around for a little while. The conservative idiots stayed around to act like a bunch of drunken cheeseheads after the Packers won the Super Bowl, and the liberal idiots stayed around to complain about the election. After a while, that all got old and most of those people seemed to have either quited down or left.

Now the only problem remaining is people who feel the need to start overly generalized threads with no real substance to back them up for the sole purpose of bashing the left or the right (ahem). The title is usually a dead giveaway, so watch out for "Why do Conservatives hate gays" and "Liberal idiots do _____" 😉

true, but that red state/blue state thing got old quickly. It reeks of LCD.

Topic Title: This forum has taken a right turn.

Basically to borrow from Stock Market terms, there is a stop limit on for Lefty posts.

New Posts, they get locked up immediately. Guess they are trying to keep things cool at least until 2006 Elections. Don't know for sure.

Also could be most folks resigned to fact that U.S. is doomed too.

That's it...that's it. You remind me of the broadcaster in the War of the Worlds trick by H.G. Wells. Your doomsday threads are not unlike that hoax.
