Yes, he is stupid, and his main points not to intelligent. Yes you are right, in the past the millitary has protected my rights. Yes they are still doing it just by being the millitary. What does Iraq have anything to do with protecting my freedoms though?

Read his blog, he's not just concerned with Iraq. He believes the troops were never needed (even dating back to the American Revolution), and that they have never once protected our freedoms.

I wont read his blog. I know what it will be after the interview. His points are garbage.
I dont agree with the repugs or the dems, so this pissing contest does not interest me. Morse so because the retard that wrote the blog is retarded. I have 2 cuz's in the special forces, 1 in the rangers. What he say is not worth my time.

You do have a question that should be answered, and unfortunately it is not an easy answer.

It is our government that protects our freedoms, and it is the military that protects the government.

The troops are in Iraq because our government commanded them to be there, and they are serving and protecting the interests of our government (whether you agree or disagree that these are the best interests of our government is irrelavent). You cannot take analyze every individual action of the troops, you have to look at the situation as a whole.

That's the best explaination I can give.

The troops in Iraq aren't protecting "freedom" We invaded Iraq because they said WMD existed with poor research, now there is no WMDs so they call it Operation "Iraqi Freedom"

The first guys point was more relating to troops in general, where the armies of previous generations have preserved americas freedoms. If we had no army, than he wouldn't be able to say the things he could.
