I've been to that place a few too many times, although I was a wee bit young to remember the Challenger

I was in the sixth grade and had just come back from lunch. The teacher turned on the tv to let us watch the launch. When it exploded a friend of mine asked me if I thought it was Cobra that attacked, being the GI Joe fanatics we were. I remember just glaring at him and not believing what just happened on TV. Sad sad day...

Not for the Challenger, the day of tribute was yesterday (27th). That's for all three, the Challenger was the 28th, today.

I was laying on the couch in the basement in our home in Alabama sick from school watching The Price Is Right when they cut into the accident. Was really sad and is one of those things I'll always remember.

I was in class watching the launch live when it blew up. I was shocked and saddened.

Junior in H.S - walking down the hall, when I saw my physics teacher looking shocked. He had been somewhere in the selection process for the "teacher in space" thing that went up on that flight.
