This could be the greatest thing EVAR - hangover preventer

Has anybody tried this thing called "Chaser". You can find it at http://www.doublechaser.com/ It claims: "Chaser ? Freedom from Hangovers - America's #1 hangover prevention
A recent study shows it takes an average of just 3.2 drinks to cause hangover symptoms. Clinical studies show it takes just two Chaser caplets to prevent one. No headache, no nausea, no regrets."

If there is any truth to this I may have found the final piece to me becoming a true alcoholic.

Or not drink booze.

Smartest thing I've heard all day...

how about not getting S-faced.
have a couple drinks and you'll be fine. just make sure you balance everything equally. have a few drinks, have it with or on a meal and be sure to drink more than booze.

I recall at least one or two hangover threads in which I posted a wealth of helpful information, including prehydrating, food buffering, and taking Vitamin B12 and Aspirin. Do a search.

Yes, I usually try to do all that stuff, I just seem to be partial to hangovers, especially since I don't drink that much anymore like I did in college.

This is not just to amnesiac, but I asked about this product and was wondering if anyone had tried it or knew anything about it, I don't need someone telling me that I shouldn't drink or that I shouldn't get wasted....sometimes it is fun to get wasted I just don't like to pay the price the next day🙂

Q: How does Chaser work?
A: Chaser absorbs the elements in beer, wine and spirits that cause hangovers. These elements, called congeners, are the byproducts of the fermentation process that gives alcoholic beverages flavor, aroma and color. When released into your bloodstream, congeners cause a reaction leading to inflammation and pain. In other words, a hangover. Chaser attracts and absorbs congeners, keeping them in your digestive tract where they are harmless.

Speaking of hangovers, has anyone tried this?

I have only seen in whole bottles, and not on drinks at bars... and I'm not buying a whole bottle of vodka. Is it worth it?

Or you could just stay awake until you're sober (a couple hours at most?) and THEN go to bed.
That doesn't work for me at all. I've tried staying up drunk, but forgot to heed amnesiac's advice and drink water, take vitamins, etc. Still hungover till noon. It works if you stop drinking completely for the night and take evasive action.

I thought hangovers were caused by dehydration 😕

That's what I've done in the past. Stop drinking alcohol completely around 11 or 1 and start drinking water, if I'm sober enough to still be able to hold a cup to my mouth. From then on, I'm usually sober within an hour. Two at most. I sober up way too fast. When I stupidly used to drink to get rid of the problems, I could never stay drunk very long. Grr... Oh well. I don't drink for that reason anymore. I usually don't get all that drunk anymore either. 😕 I can drink sh|tloads of alcohol and sober up relatively quickly. It took me under two hours to sober up after drinking half a 5th of Vodka in 15 minutes on an empty stomach --and I hardly drink anymore. 😕 :shrug;

I used to get horrible hangovers, I mean HORRIBLE and I can tell you "Yes", Chaser does work to a certain extent, I used to take two Motrin, a anacid and drink a glass of water before bed to get rid of 80% of the hangover effects and now I just use a pair of Chaser tabs and it does the same thing.

Please feel free to flame me for drinking, it hurts me so.
