My girlfriend kept telling me she wouldn't mind if I bought the Porsche Cayenne (she has a weird thing for it), but gives me a hard time when I put a deposit down on a Toyota Tacoma cause I don't need to be spending money on depreciable goods. I don't understand girls sometimes.

We've looked at everything. I'd rather have something other than an SUV, but being in Canada and having a cottage in the middle of nowhere sort of dictates we get a proper all-wheel drive vehicle. Money isn't an object and out of all the vehicles we've looked at, the Range Rover was my favourite. The GF isn't a fan of the boxy aesthetics, but that's what I love about it. However, we've both been blown away by the interior and its capabilities. It feels like a proper off-road vehicle and not a mini-van with big tires like so many of the competition.

Are you going to put 22" spinners on them too?

I hope your being sarcastic. If he wants to spend 84K on a truck...you don't have to put him down for it. You don't know his financial situation and a 84K truck could be pocket change to him.

If he's living in a trailer and driving a 84K truck...that would be a bit sad...but still his money.

I'm sure it is awesome offroad like all Land Rovers. Plus it has a BMW engine and a really nice looking interior. I'm not huge on the outside looks either (like your girlfriend)...but in that segment, I do think it is the nicest looking (Cayenne, X5, ML, etc.)
