My old genica did work with some vbr discs and it would play 96 to about 156kbps but I'm so glad I got my RioVolt. I encoded everything at 128kbps just so it'd work on my genica. It was annoying. Now if I get something encoded other than 128, it'll play fine on the Riovolt.

My old genica also got VERY hot in my belt case and it I got shocked while working (static elec) it would reset the genica and I'd have to FF to find my spot again. Riovolt hasn't ever reset when I've been shocked.
