This build look okay?

I think it's time to upgrade my Athlon XP 2200+ system; Netflix videos are maxing out my cpu with HD off.

I actually put together 2 systems for work similar to this one recently. However, the mobo was micro ATX. There seems to be a lot less choice for std ATX with the H67 chipsets. I'd like the extra slots for any cards I may want to put in later. Though, I'm not sure I'd really need it. If there's a good deal on a micro ATX that someone can recommend I'd probably jump on it.

The aim for this build is multimedia everyday use, some coding, and light gaming. I may get a vid card in the future for more current games. Right now I play age of kings conquerors expansion, so I think the integrated can handle that just fine.

Why the 2500K with the h67 mobo? I know it's only a few $ but since you aren't going with a P67 mobo you really won't be able to take advantage of the 2500K.

Wait a minute, a H61 with a Core i5 2500K? Not a good match IMHO. If you don't want to overclock it is better to go for a H67 + Core i5 2500 which is a good option if you don't want to spend more than what you have.

For $15 the upgraded video processing is worth it

I changed the motherboard to a H67 Micro atx. Newegg lists the H61 and H67 in the same sort and I missed it. Also I was getting micro and mini mixed up. Micro will do fine!

I know that, but I'm wondering how you'll benefit from those extra EUs, other than for gaming. Will HD content struggle with the HD2000? Any image quality differences?

OP did mention "light gaming" in his post. So the HD3000 would help there. I doubt it makes a difference for HD video, I think that's offloaded to a fixed-function unit.

If you've a music/movie hoarder, consider getting a larger drive. At NCIX in Canada, the Seagate Green 2TB (new SATA 6Gb, 64MB cache, 3-platter, advanced format) hits $70 very frequently. That gives you twice the bulk storage for which 7200rpm will be of dubious benefit. And unlike the older 2TB green drives, this Seagate is actually good.

Ah, I did miss the "light gaming" part.

I was skimming through AT's review of the i5-2500k, and it's actually surprisingly beefy, but all the game benchmarks were done at a low settings and low resolutions.

Anyways, +$15 is relatively cheap. It's normally like $30 or so more for the "K" version.

OP, that build looks pretty damn good! from me. It's not many that get that the first time around!
