this attack should've happened... because it brought realization that the US Government is indeed in need of changes which should've happened in the early 90s. after all, it IS the millenium and supposed to be the FUTURISTIC age with neat changes, but we are still living in the 70's. cheap metal detectors in airports are bound for an upgrade. and NOW, the government is going to make changes, cuz they were so lazy in the past. this is the true moral of the story.

You are treading on thin ice. Keep this up and we will ban you. This serves no reason other than to inflame people's emotions, and it appears all you want is a reaction, well you got it. Post this crap again, and I will ban you forever.

I don't think the Government is to blame anymore than ourselves. We, the people, wanted the ease of showing up 15 minutes before departure, checking our bags curb-side and boarding with a minumum of inconvience. Guess those days are over.

there are no words to describe my hatred for what you wrote.

the fact that we as americans can grow stronger from this does not mean that "this should've happened".

that is ridiculusnous beyond the extreme.

Go back to your crib and let the adults handle and discuss this, you obviously are too young.

So thousands of people should have died? What if that were your family or friends, would you feel the same then?

I agree, thinking long term, it is a good thing that this happened. No longer are we indifferent to similar things going on outside our country. Now that we're intimately involved, hopefully we'll take out these threats once and for all.

It SHOULDN'T have happened.

What hurts so bad is knowing that it took something like this to make such a change.

You know what's almost as sickening? Several years from now it'll be made into a Hollywood movie...:|

Yes, it is a good thing that thousands of people have died. I cannot stress how great it is that tens of thousands of people have died.

You guys really no different from those idiots who perpetrated the attack. You're completely caught up in your own perspective, unable to see anything beyond your own self-righteous delusions.

I'm a fairly intelligent child (teenager) yet for some reason, I've been unable to grasp this.

I understand politics, world politics, and all these things...

But I can't understand the human nature. What a flood of emotions and words which carry so much more than face value. What confusion. Is that what I'm supposed to see, or am I supposed to understand these specific emotions?

How do the brains of these people (the attackers, the "defenders" of the attackers, the heroes, the heroins, etc) work?

I wish this could be explained. To me. To anyone else.

that statement is truly uncalled for. saying that thousands of people should have died in a diasater like this is difinitly not needed in a time of tragedy. please think long and hard before you make any further unneccesary posts.

Things happen, they aren't good or bad, they just are, they exist as entities with both good and bad aspects. Should Pearl Harbor have happened? What would have happened if it didn't? You guys seem to lack any shred of foresight.

well before this i used to think that our nation was strong and etc. but now i'm beginning to realize that our country is just as vulnerable as any other country out there. I no longer feel safe, but ithink our government is trying to do all that it can NOW after this horrible event has happened.

Do you realize the monstosityof the event that you have the nerve to say this?! There was no planning for this. This is the worst terrorist attack I believe in the history of the world. This is not a TECHNOLOGY issue, the technology in place is more than sufficient for what was the current state of affairs in world travel.
