Hi all, I was looking at this Asus GL12CX-B9 computer and wanted to know if you guys think it's a good buy at $1,100 for a new gaming computer or not? I've never bought a prebuilt before but was thinking of just doing it. Here is a link to the computer/specs, just ignore the Best Buy price that is listed on the link. Was thinking of just building a new computer with a new Geforce 3080 or something but I have the opportunity to buy the below at $1100 and seems like a decent deal.

-ASUS Proprietary Mobo
-Intel Core i7-9700K
-16GB Memory (Some generic Hynix RAM I think)
-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
-1TB Hard Drive
-512GB Solid State Drive
-750 or 650 Watt Power Supply not sure (Prob some generic)

I get about $1050-1100 for parts cost.

If you don't want to build an AMD rig with Zen3 or PCI-E 4.0 (which does show some FPS advantages, see recent HardwareUnboxed vid where RX 5700XT pulls ahead of RTX 2070 Super), then go for it.

I thought it was a decent deal as well but didn't act fast enough and now it's gone at the $1100 price, oh well.

kinda sounds foolish. it's not a retail motherboard with a model number, so its a proprietary motherboard ment for this case / system. sometimes they have diff standard power plugs or sizes that a regular motherboard wont fit in. but you knew that right?
