Anyone who lets any "free" ad-supported program install with all the default settings intact deserves what he gets.

With that said, I'm still using a version of RealPlayer 8 that I downloaded two and a half years ago, because I know I can install it with minimal disturbance to my OS, by changing the default install options of course, and it still works for everything I've tried playing on it.
