You got to see both sides,
Not defending or flaming either way.
Its a game-

The company that puts the codes out-looses money

The people who use it, save money

So yeah its fantastic if you have a chance to save some money, but you KNOW alot of people got in on the deal, and ultimatly killed it.

So by the same coin, if alot of people got in on it, the company LOST ALOT of money that day. And pulled it.

So the bottom line, ALOT of people still got some great deals. Its over, move on.

Get the Kodak dc4800 cheap if you can find a store that office depot will pricematch with. many vendors are selling it for $500.00. would be 500-20%-100 rebate.
Anyone know a vendor OD will match that has i at that price. tried walmart but it was a no go.

<< It was stop, I think OD now has people specially check out this forum. And once they find out a coupon link to their site, they stop it. >>

More likely, all these people clicking on the link tipped them off. When you make a link to a website, they can track what website you were at when you clicked the link. DavidTigerFan would've been better off had he just posted the URL without linkifying it, that way people would just copy and paste and Office Depot wouldn't have a clue.

But I'm sure some idiot would've just linkified it anyways, so nevermind.

Digobick - Can you provide details on how websites track where you were at last when you click a link to their site? Somehow I think it's a myth. It will be too easy to filter away unintended surfers if it were true.

Geez-louiz, apparently the server can request the client for the referring url and the client is obliged to disclose it. Nobody linkify the really hot deals please. Off-topic, so this be the end of it.

slink,

the server doesn't need to request it, the Referer request header is part of the HTTP protocol and is sent automatically by any standard browser.

I was able to get in successfully. I think you can only get that discount during your first visit.

Well, what *should* have been the hot deal was WD 30gb ata/100 5400rpm drives for $99 - $20 (20%) = $80/ea shipped + tax. But these are not listed on their site. (they are in the stores)

is the link still working? It does for me, but then again I clicked it once last night so I may have some cookie.

I was wondering... where is this rebate that you speak of for the 19" KDS monitor?

EDIT: If you read the fine print you realize this rebate is good at Micro Center stores ONLY!

If the coupon doesn't work for you, just delete your Office Depot cookies, close IE, and reload the page. Should work now. =)
