Then the lovely smell of burnt popcorn wafts through the house.

First attempt - 3 min 15 seconds BURNT SCORCHED
Second attempt - 2 min 35 seconds Not as BURNT
Third attempt - 2 min 15 seconds PERFECT

All the windows are open, ceiling fan is on high, dogs going crazy, what a fun afternoon.

10 minutes, wait for popping to slow to 2-3 seconds. The only way to fly :)

Our roommate bought this fancy high powered Sharp microwave, super cooks stuff.

We tried the popcorn button last night, left too many kernels unpopped.

2 min 15 is perfect!

The new mini-bags are even harder to time right, by the time the popping slows down and almost stops the popcorn is already burnt.

What I really hate ar ethe defective bags -- I wasn't watching a bag once and instead of popping at all it just started to smoke. Burnt oil+corn smoke is nasty stuff.

Hmmm, maybe I'll make some of the non-burnt kind to go with .hack//SIGN #2....

Orville Redenbacher's 94% fat free, very lightly buttered.

DaveSimmons - Susan mentioned the mini bags because the regular bags are a lot.

Great if we get the mini bags we'll have to burn another few bags in trial and error!

Mine's never been burnt either (using the popcorn button) but it isn't efficient.

It leaves like 30 unpopped kernels, that's not acceptable.

Who said anything about sharing? :p

I wonder if the kettle or sweet popcorn tastes any good but is still somewhat healthy?
