These have started showing up in the last few months. I guess this is Newegg's attempt to compete with Amazon to a degree. If you've ordered with one, what was your experience? How are returns handled?
Great, so another site I'm going to order from that I have no clue where the item is being shipped from. Do they at least make it clear that it is a reseller and not newegg?
Newegg needs to stop this. They shouldn't try to be Amazon or they'll lose business to Amazon. It's annoying enough that they are adding tons of other products that aren't computer hardware or peripherals, like home appliances.
Bad move. If I want to order from a third party through a big vendor I can use Amazon. I specifically use newegg because of their overall value in terms of price, support, policies etc. If I have to deal with third party vendors and that kind of crap, I might as well use Amazon and be done with it.
I've bought a couple of things from the third party vendors on Newegg. I have not had to return anything, so no clue about that, but everything is clearly marked as to where its coming from. If you're paying any attention at all, it won't be a surprise. Shipment and delivery were a little slower than is normal for the egg for the items I got, but that wasn't unexpected.
