Third Eye Blind - Slow Motion <-- LISTEN TO IT!

Quite possibly the best guitar/piano combination I've EVER heard. Take a listen and tell me what you think. Note: I'm not a big fan of the lyrics though; I think it would have done better as a love song.

Third Eye Blind's stage name was "Fsck Buckets" before they hit the bigtime. They were required to change the band's name before they got a record label contract.

just for the record, their self-titled debut album is one of my favourite albums.

losing a whole year, god of wine, motorcycle drive by, thanks a lot, semi-charmed life, jumper, how's it going to be, the background, graduate...all good songs.

So that's how it's going to be? ;)

Hey now, I sense a little tension here. Step back from that ledge, my friend, and relax.

even though no one cares, TEB is a total studio band... I worked a concert they put on, we setup the stage, sound, lights, barriers (400pound each... UNF), etc... I walked out they were so terrible. Tonic was opening for them, and they played an awesome set, sounded perfect... but jeez, teb was suck.

Speaking from 100% personal experience, there's a FREAKING HUGE difference between playing in a studio and playing on stage. There's something that snaps in the head when you know that 1000's of people will be standing there listening to you make mistakes.

When you're in the studio, you just stop the recording and start over from a comfortable spot, or dub over the mistakes.

Live, it's all or nothing. You make a mistake, and EVERYBODY will notice unless you're calm enough to cover it - which isn't hard when you're not shaking and pissing your pants from the adrenaline pumping through you and your mind racing 1000mph and taking it all in at once that you're in a major venue with 1000's of fans that paid to see you put on a good show

...and you can only *hope* to deliver.

Granted, they may have been doing this for a while, but I've been on stage 100's if not 1000's of times in front of crowds as large as ~900 and it hasn't gone away yet.

OK, listening to it now, and OMG, ouch, my freaking ears!

This dude's voice is terrible!

I'm not one to flame, but this is not good.

I take it you haven't heard much Ben Folds Five (that's not "Brick.")

EDIT: The song just finished. (/me put on Ben Folds Five - One Angry Dwarf. . . Kiss my ass. . . Goodbye.)
