Third Case of Anthrax has been REPORTED :(

While this sucks, we MUST remember that:

A. All this is in the same building.

B. Both the second and third cases have been exposure only, not infection.

C. While it may be criminal, there is NOTHING linking this to any terrorist organization.

D. This most likely all started BEFORE 9/11.

this is just conjucture no link to back this up, but i heard/watched it talked about on some of hte news channels...

earlier when this started, it was rumored that the anthrax exposure was from a piece of mail delivered to the building, now they are not talking about that at all. The one fellow who died was working the in the mail room if i recall correctly.

Either way, even if its not true, if the terrorists or ANYONE were to use the US Postal system as a medium in which to spread and disseminate virus' and biological agents, we are in for even more trouble.

Look at the effect of shutting down the airspace to airplanes, imagine the impact shutting down the US Postal system and the fear people would get from not knowing if htey should open their mail.

If im not mistaken, the targets of the packages wouldnt really matter, if the package was designed to slowly "leak" its contents as it travelled from one postal distribution center to another, it could possibly contaminate other parcels, envelops and packages that it comes in contact iwth, along with the postal workers there who could spread it to even more mail..... that then could possibly be spread further.

Horrific to think about, but ingenius none the less. Lets hope its not true.

Your confusion is understandable, but here's some facts:

The man that died was a photo editor. The mail room employee was the second case found with ONE spore in his nasal cavity. The "letter with soapy powder and Star of David" story has been dispelled as rumor.
