ThinkPad tablet: may want

Neat. More tablets starting to make use of the stylus.

I would have preferred that their 'Thinkpad' line of tablets stayed with Windows 7.

Lenovo IdeaPad K1, $499 at OfficeDepot - $100 comp using the Staples coupon. May want more?

Thinking about returning my Thrive and getting it...need some solid date and pricing information though. Ideapad is cool but the Thinkpad sounds awesome.

Thing is Lenovo is offering the 32gb on their site for $100 off as well.

The ThinkPad Tablet will ship within the US next month with pre-ordering starting on August 2. The 16GB WiFi model is priced at $479 sans digitizer pen and $509 with it. The 32GB model runs $589 and ships with the digitizer pen. 3G models are on tap, but Lenovo didn’t announce the prices or release dates.

Aw shit, probably returning my Thrive.

Sounds like these devices are finally approaching "appropriate" pricing.

If we see a sudden spike in tablet sales as a result of discounting, it would suggest that Jen-Hsun Huang was right, after all...
