thinkpad T60- get rid of CPU power saving stuff!

can anyone offer steps or tips as to how i can improve the performance of the cpu, even if it uses up more power?

been running a number of benchmarking tests and its evident the cpu benchmarks are WAY below what they should be.

just ran 3dmark03 and my cpu scores are lower than core duos @ 1.6ghz!!

have already gone into bios and said maximum power for cpu... anything else i could do?
