I'm out of the laptop loop shopping wise. Is this a good deal, how is the quality of this model? Here are the specs and price. Thx.

15" XGA
512 DDR SDRAM
30 gig hard drive (little small, but my friend doesnt care too much)
CD-rw/DVD-rom
ethernet/modem/wireless
lithium ion battey

This is a good basic laptop. It will handle all the basic tasks just fine. It will only get about 2.5-3 hours on the 6-cell battery unfortunately.
The build quality of the R-series is quite good. Not on par with the T-series, but at or above the level of any other "regular" notebook manufacturer.
 
Even though build qulity is not on par with T-Series.. It build quality is well above most laptop...

Perfomance wise it'nt that great
